The wind farms spin very well just like a pinwheel that I used to make of paper and play when I was a child. Giant pinnacles are standing endlessly. Now I get scared when I see wind farms only. There were wind turbines, which had lined up majestically over 42 kilometers as I passed through Adrian City, Texas. The road are several times more difficult to run against cold, rough winds. Unless they are fools, they will not erect so large pinwheels where there is no wind. I mean in the U.S. where they seek the best efficiency and effectiveness.

A flock of black swarms flock to the wind like clouds in the sky and perform their group duties. They make pots and gourds in the sky, and then turn around and make a fan shape. It is surprising that so many birds can maintain the highest order amid constant direction and collective movement. Is that the fun of birds? Is it religious to them? It doesn't seem to have anything to do with finding food, at all. Even for humans in primitive communities, entertainment and religion were not separate, but one. The birds are now holding a magnificent communal ritual. I look at it and feel reverent. Is that powerful mass game possible without some kind of string that binds consciousness together? For birds, the rough wind is not an obstacle, but a ride. Rough waves are like theme parks for young dolphins.

Will running be a pastime for me? Or is it religious? This running seems to have nothing to do with making money. I have to overcome the terrible ordeal of running through the cold, strong wind. The wind always changes directions, but I always feel the wind ahead. There will be ups and downs in our life, but we will always remember only ups. I was scared first to meet wind turbines again in eastern Oklahoma, where there are many hills, and the wind is strong from morning. Pinwheels or wind turbines turn against the wind. Wind turbines turn the passing wind into useful energy. Running in the face of the wind, I feel confident that I can use harsh wind and hardships as a positive energy in my life. Thinking that bold idea like that, I stretch my shoulders together again and pour out all my energy . I'm having a lot of fun using the desert, the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains as a ride.

When I run endlessly, I run out of all my energy and my stress flies away, too. All mixed thoughts fade away and the vainful desire of the world is erased. An indescribable emotion is pushed into the position of not-having, which has nothing in my hands, like a tsunami, and fills it to the full. This filled impression lingers in my heart for a very long time. Running gives people better energy than wind turbines. Birds fly in equilibrium with two wings, wind turbines spin facing the wind with three wings, and I run with one clear consciousness. No matter how rough the wind blows, the world is enough worth living fiercely.

On the way from Elk City to Clinton, a car came back and stood there, and a man stepped down first and said to me with the teacher¡¯s expression to the student who didn't do his homework, "Are you serious? Running from LA to New York?" At any rate, his tone was not friendly or polite. I said to him back with the student¡¯s attitude who did a wonderful homework, "Yes. I left Santa Monica Beach, California on February 1st, and I've been running here for almost two months now for it's March 25th, today."

They say the family are on a transcontinental journey, starting from Chicago, along historic Route 66. Their last destination is Santa Monica Beach, too. After talking in English for a long time, she says she is not good at Korean though she is a Korean immigrant. She seemed to be ashamed to say that she was Korean because she couldn't speak Korean. Then I think she gained confidence when her husband showed respect for me and asked me this and that. She asks me about the purpose of running and how I feel now with a proud Korean mother's expression to her children. And she left me a message after a long trip : "I watched many things and made many good memories while traveling across the continent with my family, and meeting you was the highlight of them! I was lucky to meet you! Thank you. I'm proud that I'm Korean and I'm proud that my children have a pride that they have Korean mother."

A little further along the highway, while I pass under a bridge, hundreds of birds fly away in amazement. When I saw the place from where the birds flied away, I was surprised to see that the birds¡¯ nest was made of mud and straw along the bridge pillars like a hornet's nest. I looked up for a long time, unable to shut my amazing mouth. Their nests have the same square measure like a honeycomb. It's amazing that birds will come back to their unnumbered homes at night.

As I entered Oklahoma, Mr. Richards sent me a message telling me that a tornado in a city called Tulsa, Oklahoma, killed one person and injured many more, advising me to watch out for it. There was also news that a trailer truck overturned and traffic was paralyzed. Now it's the tornado season. Tornadoes usually occur from the spring to summer, a whirlwind called funnel winds. When cold winds from the Rockies and warm, humid winds from the Gulf of Mexico meet, they create a whirlwind like this. When even two groups of people with different personalities meet, conflicts occur. Therefore, it is best to avoid meeting someone with a different temper. When we argue over that I'm right and you're wrong, only a whirlwind happens. Tornadoes are said to blow up anything that enters a whirlwind due to low atmospheric pressure inside. There was a time when I wanted to jump into the middle of a tornado and blow up everything all at once when I felt like the existence itself was shaking when the wind blew in the watery river.

Entering Yukon, the outer city of Oklahoma City, there is a big lake. The lake is full of fishermen, boat riders, joggers and bicyclists, for it is weekend. It is very free and leisurely. After passing through Texas to Oklahoma, I thought there was a lot of water. There is flowing water in the stream, and there are sewage waters and lakes. The faces of the people coming out of the water's edge seemed comfortable. The houses by the water were beautiful. There are houses of rich people around the lake. I had already concluded that Oklahoma City was beautiful before I had even seen it through and entered downtown . Oklahoma City has the North Canadian River. Based on the extensive livestock industry, it is a city with developed distribution, processing and transportation. On the street, I can see many outingers dressed as cowboys for the weekend.

Oklahoma City is the largest city that I ¡®ve ever passed, but it is a very small city for me who used to live in Seoul or New York. Leaving L.A, it is now simply a turning point for trans-Atlantic traffic and a logistics hub for the southern America. The city was busy with tourists, and there were often persons who came to take pictures with me because of my rather strange appearance. I saw a young man in a cowboy hat and jeans, and a girl in a long dress. The town outing of country lovers holding hands looked fresh. It's a perfect outfit for riding a carriage, but there's no carriage.

I was very tired, but I was looking for a Korean restaurant, determined to eat Korean food without fail. Looking at the map, I thought I was in the heart of the city, and I went a little bit longer, but I went far past Oklahoma City to Midwest and I managed to find a Korean restaurant, at that time I was already worn out. It's already 8 o'clock. The restaurant was closed at 8 p.m. When I explained to the owner, who was about to close down, how I had barely managed to find the restaurant after a few months since I¡¯ve not eaten Korean food. When I ordered, I asked for another bowl of rice, too. I emptied out even the welsh onion pizza from the host's special service and I left the restaurant. The satisfaction level of my stomach filled with Korean food was great.

It was successful to find a Korean restaurant and eat soybean paste stew, but I no longer had the energy to find a motel to sleep. The motel was eight to nine kilometers away from here. As I leave the restaurant, I can see the construction site of a new building around here. It would be worth sleeping in a tent overnight. I thought I could get out here as if nothing had happened before the workers would come to work tomorrow morning.

Oklahoma City was beautiful. It was beautiful because there was a lot of water. It was beautiful because there was a lot of water and a lot of sunlight. It was beautiful because all life was good to grow and reproduce. Water is like a smile on a person's face. Seeing the water flowing through the stream after only having looked at the dry stream brings peace to me somehow. Above all, it looked beautiful because the life of the middle class in the outer city looked peaceful. It was good because the cluttered slums were not seen.
