할로윈이 가까와오면서 맨해튼에는 혼란스러워지는 풍경이 하나 있다.

이들의 복장이나 행색이 무서운 할로윈 분위기를 내기 위한 의상인지 아님 본래 그렇게 무섭게 입고 다니는 사람인지 몰라서이다.

누가 진짜인지 가짜인지 정말 어렵다.

쇼윈도우에서 이 무서운 마스크를 봤을 때 놀랬다 이 마스크가 브로드웨이 쇼 'wicked' 캐릭터인걸 알지만 그래도 정말 실제 같다.

* 사진을 촬영한 곳은 브로드웨이 무대에 오른 책들만 전문으로 파는 곳인데 할로윈 분위기에 맞게 무섭게 꾸며놓았다. 그린치가 포착한 것은 ‘오즈의 마법사’ 주인공 캐릭터들을 각색한 'WICKED' 라는 책에 등장하는 날아다니는 원숭이 마스크이다.

In Manhattan, near Halloween time, one thing confuses me.

There are people who wear scary costumes for fun and then there are people who always look scary.

For me it is difficult to tell who is real and who is fake.

I was shocked to see this scary mask in the store window, but at least I know this is a mask from the Broadway show "Wicked" even though it looks very real.
